National Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage – Saturday, September 30

We are excited to invite you to the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage, a national pilgrimage celebrating the Rosary at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC on Saturday, September 30, 2023, the Vigil of Rosary Sunday, hosted by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph.

This full day event will include conferences preached by Dominican Friars, Eucharistic Adoration and Confession, the recitation of the Rosary, and Mass. The Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage begins with a nine month novena starting in January. We will pray the Novena Prayer on the last Saturday of each month starting on Saturday, January 28:

  • At St. Catherine’s – after the 8:40am Rosary and before the 9am Mass
  • At St. Vincent’s – after the 5:25pm Rosary and before the 5:40pm Vespers

Fr. Peter Martyr would love to make this trip with parishioners for this exciting new annual pilgrimage. Stay tuned for more details.

Novena Prayer

God our Father, we thank you for the gift of your Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we are
adopted as your beloved sons and daughters.

At Pentecost you poured out the Holy Spirit
upon Our Lady and the Apostles
while they were at prayer.

Pour out that same Holy Spirit upon us
as we meditate upon the mysteries of Christ
contained in the Most Holy Rosary.

Enlighten our faith, strengthen our hope, and
set us ablaze with love for you and our neighbor.

Graciously grant us St. Dominic’s own zeal
for the salvation of souls.

Bless the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage.

May it lead many souls to Jesus through Mary,
so that we may know you and your saving power
now and for all eternity.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our lady of the Rosary pray for us!
St. Dominic, pray for us!
