FORMED: ONLINE CATHOLIC LEARNING RESOURCES

The Archdiocese of New York has partnered with the online Catholic learning resource website FORMED to provide free access to the website for Parishes across the Archdiocese. The website has videos, audio recordings, and books available for streaming and/or download on a variety of topics, including the Bible, the Sacraments, and the Saints. To register, visit formed.org, click “sign-up,” and then “sign-up as a parishioner,” and search for “St Vincent Ferrer-Saint Catherine of Siena.” If needed, input the Parish Code: 2ZFMH7.

MYSTAGOGY

On most Monday evenings at St. Vincent’s at 7 PM from September to June, Adult Faith Formation classes, called “Mystatgogy” are offered as a chance to dive more deeply into the Catholic faith.

This year we’ll be reflecting on the history of the Church — an avenue that allows us to learn about devotions, teachings, saints, and sinners.

PARISH STUDY

Periodically on Tuesday evenings throughout the year (e.g. in October, during Advent and Lent, and in July), adult faith formation classes called “Parish Study” are offered either in the form of a Bible study or as an exploration of some relevant aspect of the Catholic faith.  If you would like more information on the present or past parish studies, please visit svsc.info/parish-study.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

We have a seasonal Women’s Bible Study, which uses the Living with Purpose Bible study programs. Various topics from coming to understand femininity to deepening friendships and many more make up the topics of the various studies. These are open to all women.
