January 18 through February 15 – Parish Study on Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians
Do you know someone who complains that their children don’t listen, don’t follow what they have been taught, or challenge everything their parents tell them? That’s Paul and the Church in Corinth. The Corinthians were a constant source of heartache for Paul. They wanted to know by what right Paul should claim authority over them. Both letters to the Corinthians defend his apostolate, and 2 Corinthians especially stresses that they would not have become believers – Christians – without having heard Paul’s preached gospel.
Join us for a Parish Study on 2 Corinthians to unpack these ideas and build on last summer’s Parish Study on 1 Corinthians. Fr. Albert Paretsky will lead the study on Tuesday evenings from 6:45-7:45 PM, from January 18 to February 15, in the Parish Hall at St. Vincent’s. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming Parish Studies in both Lent and Easter as well.
