December 8 – Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

Wednesday, December 8 is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation and the Patronal Feast of the United States. 

There will be a Solemn Mass at 6 pm at St. Vincent Ferrer for which the Schola Cantorum will sing Felix Mendelssohn’s Mass for Double Choir and Anton Bruckner’s Ave Maria and Tota pulchra es, Maria

The 12:10 pm Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer will be a Sung Mass.  

In addition to the regular weekday Mass and Confession schedule, there will be a 1 pm Low Mass at St. Catherine of Siena.  

The evening Masses on Tuesday, December 7 will be for the Vigil of the Solemnity.

The Act of Total Consecration to Jesus Christ through Mary will be made after Wednesday’s 5:15 pm Mass at St. Catherine of Siena.
