November 21 – Solemnity of Christ the King

November 21 – Solemnity of Christ the King

On Sunday, November 21, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. On this feast, we seek to offer the Lord our own lives and to invite Him to be the King of our hearts. There is a beautiful custom of consecrating ourselves, our homes, and even a parish to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

To mark this great feast, we will have afternoon Eucharistic Adoration at both churches:

  • 1-5 pm – St. Vincent Ferrer
  • 3-4:45 – St. Catherine of Siena

During the period of Adoration at St. Vincent Ferrer, there will be:

  • 2-3 pm – Confessions
  • 3 pm – Chaplet of Divine Mercy including preaching on the Sacred Heart of Christ the King and prayers to consecrate the Parish to the Sacred Heart of Jesus following the Chaplet

Worship Leaflets can be found here.

In these days, leading up to the Consecration of the Parish to the Sacred Heart, please avail yourselves of the sacraments of Confession and Communion. This is the best way for the people of the Parish to enter into the graces that the Lord wants to pour out upon us and all those who live and work in the Parish.
